What "30%" actually means: whole kava root typically runs somewhere around 3-8% kavalactones by weight depending on cultivar, root grade, and growing conditions. Standardizing to 30% concentrates that, and — more importantly — makes it consistent, so a gram measured today matches a gram measured from next season's harvest. That repeatability is why extract is the format most kava bars, blenders, and formulators reach for.

How it is used: it dissolves far better than raw root but is still a concentrate, not an instant drink — it is normally weighed on a milligram scale and blended into beverages, instant mixes, or tinctures rather than used by the spoonful. Start small and measure.

Ours runs $1.20-1.80/g depending on size — under the market at every tier, without pretending kava extract is cheap.
